I'm new here, here's my status...
I'm new to this forum - I have TC. There's so much going on, I'll try to keep this short, but I'm sure it'll end up being long. Here's my journey so far.
Nov. 21, 2018: My 23 month old son wants to climb me and pushes hard on my lefty nicknamed Patrick (dunno why I just made this name...Last edited by FerrinMass; 01-28-19, 01:01 AM.

Supplements for chemo side effects?
I will be starting 3x BEP next Thursday, and I would like to do what I reasonably can to reduce any long term damage that can occur from BEP. There are loads of studies on melatonin, vitamin E/C and whatnot protecting against ototoxicity, nephrotoxicity and so on, but I'm having trouble figuring out...

Post Chemo RPLND vs Surveillance
I was diagnosed w/ testicular cancer on 9/29/2017. On 10/5 I had my right radical orchiectomy. Since then, my serum marker levels have returned to normal. There was one 1.1cm lymphnode visable near my Vena Cava on the cat scans. Thus, T2N1M0S0 (Stage 2A) Non-Seminoma (55% Seminoma, 20% Embrynol, 15%...Last edited by TheyCallMeLefty; 11-07-17, 12:20 PM.

Blindsided by Damn TC- an Intro
Hi everyone,
Been lurking on here since November now and just wanted to finally contribute. I'm starting chemo in about a week and am not looking forward to it but really want to be able to put this past me and move one. Testicular cancer really caught me off guard. I'm a pretty healthy...

Is this chemo regimen normal?
SIL saw the oncologist today. Stage llB, one enlarged lymph node, recommending 3X BEP. BUT- I notice all the folks here say 5 days on, 2 weeks off. Sounds like he is saying 5 days, then 3 weeks off. My SIL had the impression it would be 1 round per month. Is that OK? Does it affect his chances of killing...Last edited by highland850; 09-21-16, 01:15 AM.

My Story- 100% Embryonal Carcinoma.. What's next?
Hey everyone!
Been lurking in the shadows of this forum for a little while... Now that I have more info, I figured it was time to fully get into all this.
Anyway, all started on February 26, 2016- Noticed a lump after having a little pain down there, coupled with watching a...Last edited by jgfeiner; 04-24-16, 09:40 PM.

First time poster, just starting chemo
Hello everyone,
My name is Adam and I'm new to these forums, but they seem like a great place to chat with people that are going through the same things. First, a brief history of my TC experience. Was diagnosed and had an right orchiectomy last December. They thought they got it all after...Last edited by knokea16; 06-10-15, 07:33 PM. Odd question, but I'm looking for perspective for the experience
I'm a Children's Minister, so going through chemo has been eye opening for me and for the families in my church. For many of my young families and my kids, my experience with cancer is something new and personal. I have been open and honest about it with them to bring awareness. (I even got to be...

4x(EP) Starts Monday
With the other medical issues I've had crop up, RPLND isn't happening and 3x(BEP) will be 4x(EP). I'm calm on the outside but kinda freaked on the inside not knowing what the chemo will bring. in 4 months I'll be assessed, it's gonna be a bumpy holiday.
Anyone done just the EP route?...

Adjuvant Chemo vs. RPLND vs. Surveillance and late relapse(?) - any advice welcome!
Hi everyone,
Firstly, thank you for setting up this great forum, and to everyone who is sharing their experiences! This has helped me a lot already. Now I feel I need some advice before deciding on the next step for my treatment. My problem is that opinions here in the UK are slightly...

Heat intolerance after chemo
So, as of a week ago, I've been all clear for three years. This is after a unilateral orchiectomy, four rounds of BEP and a RPLND.
Needless to say, I'm thankful, but I wanted to ask a question of everyone here of something I've noticed since treatment.
Long story short,...

Surveillance, 2x Carbo, or other?
Continued from here: TC after a vasectomy? Yep
post I/O and going over pathology report.
Good news/bad news: Tumor was 100% seminoma but was 8cm. Pathology report said it was fully encapsulated and didn't make it into the spermatic cord, etc. However, the CT scan showed...

Emend with BEP cycles. Does it work?
Hi there,
I just started my first cycle of BEP and had an absolute nightmare as the week progressed and went into the weekend. Aside from taking the chemo rather harshly, my anti-nausea meds are causing some side effects of their own. Compazine agitates to me the point of pacing up and...
